Compliance Assistance Program

Equity Priority Buildings 25,000 Sq. Ft. and Above Can Get Compliance Support

The Compliance Assistance Program provides qualifying buildings with additional support in meeting Energize Denver requirements, such as 1:1 coaching, energy audit services, and assistance with benchmarking and data verification. If your building qualifies as an Equity Priority Building, you can participate in the Compliance Assistance Program. Just fill out the designation form to get started.

Who Gets Designated as an Equity Priority Building?

If your building falls into one of these categories below, you could be eligible to receive the Equity Priority Building designation and participate in the Compliance Assistance Program:  

Multifamily Affordable Housing

2/3 of the units are classified as deed-restricted affordable housing.

Affordable Apartment Buildings

2/3 of residential units have rents at or below 80% of the HOST rent limits.

Income Qualified Residential Condominiums

Individual condo unit owners who meet income requirements and are installing equipment in their own condo unit; OR whole residential buildings where 2/3 of unit owners either have a household income below 80% of Denver’s area median income OR are enrolled in a public assistance program.

Nonprofit Organization

Have a 501c(3) Letter of Determination from the Internal Revenue Service or IRS Form W-9 AND offer critical services in the City and County of Denver such as advocacy, shelter, after-school programs, food assistance, emergency services, immigration services, worship spaces, rehabilitation services and senior services.

Commercial Buildings

Revenue under $800,000 for the previous tax year.

Onsite ASHRAE level 2 audit 

Navigation services

  • Audit results interpretation 

  • Tenant engagement

  • Guidance with contractors 

  • Rebate program
