Join volunteers of all ages for a hands-on South Platte River cleanup, helping Denver Parks and Recreation remove trash and debris along the river. All equipment and light refreshments are provided, and you’re welcome to continue the celebration afterward at Union Station.

About the event
Earth Day River Cleanup Event
Denver’s Office of Climate Action, Sustainability, and Resiliency (OCASR) and Environmental Quality Division (EQD) are joining forces with The Alliance Center and a coalition of other organizations to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. OCASR and EQD will be hosting a volunteer cleanup event on the South Platte River. Volunteers of all ages will help Denver Parks and Recreation by picking up trash and debris along the South Platte River.
Parking details: Parking is available in the Denver Aquarium NE parking lot, located at 700 Water St. Enter through the gate closest to Speer Blvd (directly across from Fishback Landing Park). Inform the lot attendant you are volunteering, and you will not be charged.
